aboutusheader

No, it ain't no drag racing site, it's all music, music, music. We took the label name’ Afterburn’ from a New Christs song off their hot August 1989 blasterpiece 'Distemper', & altho' they are all about Sydney – we are all MELBOURNE – the best friggin' city in all of umm Victoria!, no Australia!

Yep that’s it.
This site covers the two labels...Afterburn Records & Death Valley Records.
Afterburn is our current (& very active) label which is strictly reissues. We put out music we dig, with total genre autonomy—from both our own back yard & across the seas.

Releases that may of slipped between the cracks, ones that deserve an extra piece of time in the sun, & others that are seeing the light of day for the very first time!

Simply whatever rattles our boat & sends our neck hairs into the stratosphere.
Death Valley is a more intermittent affair, with just 12 releases in 14 years (eight 7" vinyl singles, two CD’s), but it’s by no means dead in the woods & will continue to issue newer music as time rolls by. So click onto the logos to check out the discographies & reviews & watch the site updates for lots of (what we think) are very exciting & worthy music releases across quite a few formats.
We hope that you share in our fandom & shake out some repeat listens.
