Hailing from Denver Colorado, The Frantix were the wild'n'raw real deal in good time 80's Punk Rock, leaving us with just 2 lone 7" singles and a lotta golden memories etched into the locals heads forever. Their sludgy,flipper-esque signature tune 'My Dad's a Fuckin' Alcoholic' has it's place set in stone as one of the early 80's classic bursts'n'blasts of DIY punk gunk (and has appeared on Volume #6 of the 'Killed By Death' series)This 16 track CD collects tracks from both the band's 7" EP's,and adds six killer live tracks from 1983, along with a 12 page booklet feat: liner notes, pics, flyers, set lists & more. Rick and Matt from the band would later end up in Sub-Pop band The Fluid and 2 tracks here 'Static Cling' and 'New Questions' are embryonic versions of tracks later recorded by The Fluid (on both their Ray-On label debut from 1986 'Punch & Judy' & their hot 1988 Sub-Pop debut 'Clear Black Paper'. Great stuff and a rowdy rockin' racket and then some !
