Compiled by Scotti from Afterburn Records /Death Valley Recs in collaboration with San Francisco's mighty Prank Records in 1996, this is a superb 15 track Vinyl LP from one of Australia's most explosive punk bands, who blazed a trail of hot shows and genuine passion around the mid 80's in Melbourne. One of the first Aussie Punk Bands to embrace the sounds coming out of the USA Hardcore scene ( Jerry's Kids, SS Decontrol, Minor Threat, Flipper, Articles of Faith, Husker Du etc..) as well as the European/Japanese bands (The Stalin, Negazione,Terveet Kadet, etc..) and of course the UK (Discharge,Disorder,Crass,etc..) all the while adding a cool homegrown influence of politics, humour, and local culture. This comp features some of their most killer tracks such as 'Alone Among Friends' , 'Tell Me the Solution' , '20th Century Holocaust Pt 2', the two amazing cuts from the 1984 Melbourne LP comp 'Eat Your Head' ('A Nazi Choice' and 'Vacant Race'), along with tracks from their debut 7" ep ('First Blood' , 'Never Together') and a Previously Un-Released Version of 'The Buck Stops Here' and a raw Un-Released Rehearsal Version of 'Memories of Menzies'. Along with a 12" lyric sheet with liner notes,discography,and pics. Simply red hot Australian Punk Rock which still sends shivers down my spine in 2007 ! Watch also for a CD Compilation (ie: a CD of C.D.) which will be part of the Afterburn discography in 2007. These copies are the last of the Prank Records Vinyl run and are still sealed.
